: The "Deletedpage" template doesn't seem to be in use at the moment -- [[Special:Whatlinkshere/Template:Deletedpage]]. Is that because it is so incredibly useful that sysops have already gone through and deleted every page that transcluded that template? After I delete a page, often spammers will re-create a page with exactly the same name and fill it with spam again. | |||
And then I delete it again, and the cycle continues over and over again. | |||
One way to break this cycle is to deliberately create a fresh page with that exact name and some harmless text on it -- perhaps some [[AntiSpamMeasures#Spamming the spammers]] keywords -- and then protect that page so spammers don't fill it with spam again. | |||
