I've set up a French side bar, but the links still link to the English pages. I'll make a Swedish one too. Also, if you want to make translations without admin powers, I can do it for you. – Smiddle/TC 05:21, 4 March 2007 (PST)

I went to the IRC channel and it was empty. Does anyone still use it? If not, I think we should consider removing it. Elassint, 09 2 2010

Can we figure out what is causing the bug to make the default sidebar show, instead of our custom sidebar? ~~ MarkDilley

It is ok, I think we can use CamelCase, even inside MediaWiki. Also, I think the term portal does nothing, so it should be removed as well. I would do it, but don't want to do a revert thing here. :-) ~~ MarkDilley

I accidentally saved my edit before finishing my edit summary :( What I was trying to say is that its fine to use CamelCase on articles/categories/templates as and when it is necessary (either for historical reasons, or for simplicity when using templates, etc). But for the sidebar, I just think it ought to be consistent - and being as the 'toolbox' is fixed, we ought to change our top sections to match.
And I'm not sure the portal should go - that term seems to be set in stone for all MediaWiki sites - and whilst we are NOT Wikipedia, most modern wiki folks will understand the wiki software, and then adapt to specific site. So whilst we can tweak and add stuff, the basic sidebar should ideally show the basic default consistencies - IMVHO :) Sean, aka Hoof HeartedAdmintalk2HH 13:19, 3 May 2013 (PDT)
I understand that point of view Sean and I don't agree that most modern wiki folks even use MediaWiki, although a a great many do! :-) ~~ MarkDilley
