The Business Model Project was a collaborative business model taxonomy that utilises individual 'attributes' of an organization. The data is structured to facilitate the following types of analysis:

Attribute
  • Each business model is tagged across several dimensions allowing for a deeper understanding of how it creates and captures value
  • Companies that operate multiple models simultaneously have an entry for each model
Temporal
  • Each unique instance of a model has a separate entry
  • Compare a firms currently model to their previous one
Comparative
  • Compare nascent start-ups to large public firms
  • Fine tuned competitive analysis
