WikiSym - August 21-23th, 2006

Wikimania 2006 was the second annual meeting for Wikipedians and anyone else interested in learning more about Wikipedia and/or wiki technologies in general. Last year, we met in a very nice youth hostel in Frankfurt Germany and people from all over the world met, often for the first time. Most people had an area of Wikipedia that they specialized in and the common thread was the enormous amount of time everyone devoted to making the site the success it is today. • WikiSym2006 is coming up in August 21-23 in Denmark. There is already an impressive list of speakers, including Angela Beesley, Doug Englebart, Mark Bernstein and WardCunningham, plus part of the conference will be in OpenSpace.
