+The ukcider wiki was created in January 2005 to serve an existing community which still communicates mainly through a public email list. The wiki promotes the availability and production of what we consider to be quality cider through listing outlets ( pubs and shops) producers, and festivals, advising small scale and home cider makers, and collecting together any other information which may be informative, entertaining or organisational. A particular success has been the [http://ukcider.co.uk/wiki/index.php/Cider_Pub_Guide ukcider  guide] which grew to list over 750 {{tag|pubs}} by August 2006 and largely displaces the previous printed "Good cider guide" through being more comprehensive, accurate and up to date.
