The Business Model Project is a collaborative business model taxonomy that utilizes individual 'attributes' of an organization. The data is structured to facilitate the following types of analysis:
- Attribute
- Each business model is tagged across several dimensions allowing for a deeper understanding of how it creates and captures value
- Companies that operate multiple models simultaneously have an entry for each model
- Temporal
- Each unique instance of a model has a separate entry
- Compare a firms currently model to their previous one
- Comparative
- Compare nascent start-ups to large public firms
- Fine tuned competitive analysis
