Wikilivres.ru is a sister site to Wikilivres (a Canadian media repository). The site hosts books, poetry, and media under a variety of free licenses, including the public domain and Creative Commons licenses. The site's owners encourage users to post public domain and CC-BY or CC-BY-SA content on Wikisource or the Canadian Wikilivres but this site also accepts CC BY-NC-ND content, which is disallowed on Wikimedia Foundation projects. The Russian Wikilivres came about because the Canadian edition rejected the CC BY-NC-ND license.
Although they accept content in many languages, most of the pages and the entire interface are in Russian.
