The k2g2 Craftopedia is an encyclopedia for krafty knerds and geek girls. The main language of the Craftopedia is English, but it's multilingual in nature. Contributions in languages other than English are highly encouraged.

k2g2 originally spelled out as a Knitting Knerd's Guide to the Galaxy, which is actually a pun on the Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy (h2g2) - a pan-galactic encyclopaedia, that may have served as inspiration for Wikipedia. In 2004, the k2g2 community surfaced on Orkut by the name Knitting Knerds and Geek Girls, and in early 2009 the k2g2 Craftopedia went online at www.k2g2.org and www.craftopedia.org.
