Created for the Congressional elections of 2008, Nathan Larson for Congress was one of the first Congressional campaign websites in the United States of America (USA) to be set up entirely as a wiki site.[1] There were two versions of this site using the NathanLarsonForCongress.com domain; the first was created circa 22 or 23 May 2008,[2][3] but was lost on 20 July 2008 by an inadvertent database deletion, it was subsequently rebuilt by copying and pasting Google caches into a fresh MediaWiki installation, and renamed Larson2008.[4]

This specific wiki site is now offline, the last editing activity being November 2008. The domain registration for NathanLarsonForCongress.com was seemingly allowed to lapse, and was subsequently taken over by a totally unrelated Asian website.[5] For the 2018 campaign, the successor site was located originally at NathanLarson.org, as detailed below.

A decade after the original 2008 campaign wiki site, a new incarnation of the identically titled Nathan Larson for Congress wiki was launched 20 January 2018 at NathanLarson.org, in preparation for the 2018 Congressional elections. On 9 June 2018, the site was moved to a new NathanLarson.ru domain. With a new logo, and new copyleft license; the Creative Commons Attribution Share-Alike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license; this new wiki site was used by Nathan Larson to reach out for his candidacy for prospective election in the Virginia's 10th congressional district election of 6 November 2018, for a seat in the United States of America's (USA) lower house of the U.S. Congress, the House of Representatives. The site was taken down on 25 June 2018 due to an abuse report filed because of another site that was on the same server. On 18 July 2018, all wiki data was lost in a targeted home burglary. On 13 August 2018, Larson withdrew from the race.
