This Cross-namespace redirect article is a 'stub'. You can help by expanding this stub article, thanks. :-)
A cross-namespace redirect is a specific type of redirect; namely, a redirect from one namespace to another namespace.
It is commonly seen on sites such as the MediaWiki.org wiki site; that have more content in other namespaces (e.g. Manual:, Extension:, etc.) than in their main namespace. On Wikipedia, redirects from main namespace to Project: space are discouraged, since readers could accidentally stumble into meta-specific wiki content.
It should be noted that cross-namespace redirects are not compatible with the structured data system as used by Semantic MediaWiki (SMW); and therefore, should not be used here on WikiIndex.
