A closed wiki is a wiki site which allows users to view content but not edit it; typically, editors are restricted to a small handful of users who are trusted to protect the integrity of the content. It is different from a locked wiki which does not allow any editing, or a restricted wiki which does not allow viewing of content. By contrast, an open wiki allows editing and viewing.
