A part of the {{tag|Wikimedia Foundation}} (WMF), Wikijunior launched on the 7th of November, {{tag|Founded in 2004|2004}}, and, like Wikibooks, is a collaboration of {{tag|open-content}} free books, which are specificly targetted at and for children. Its original scope was to target children who are between 8 and 11 years old, but it has subsequently expanded its age-range.
