No, in this wiki "tag" is a synonym for "category" and the "tag" and "category" templates are the same. We did that because "category" sounds heirarchical whereas "tag" is not. "tag" is also shorter and easier to use. But I am concerned that the extra confusion isn't worth it and we should just stick to category since that's the mediawiki standard.
