Thanks Robin for the Browse Category idea, I fleshed it out a bit and it looks great. John Stanton 20:52, 20 Jan 2006 (EST)
caricature[edit]
Robin, if you add a picture here, I'll make a caricature for you :-) --Raymond King | talk 02:25, 7 Feb 2006 (EST)
- Thank you, Raymond. I'm a very poor image handler but I tried. Near the end of the process I was stopped by a message that said "".bmp" is not a recommended image file format." - which should have been stated nearer the start of the process. Maybe some other time. robinp 18:18, 7 Feb 2006 (EST)
bummer, if you e-mail me the file, I'll try to convert it, etc. ( raymondking [at] gmail.com ) --Raymond King | talk 03:09, 9 Feb 2006 (EST)
re: my blog[edit]
The plan was to make http://tedernst.com the hub of my stuff, with links to this and that. Maybe a contact page. Maybe who knows what. That's why I put the blog in the /wp directory. That cool front page never happened. Maybe it will at some point. I always forget to put the /wp on the end of the url when pointing people to my blog. Sorry for any trouble. :-) TedErnst | talk 17:17, 7 Feb 2006 (EST)
nice edits[edit]
on the LOTR page. I think you are going in the right direction, plus we have not really put m/any policies down.
CamelCase[edit]
I'm used to CamelCase from Meatball and other UseMod wikis, but more recently I've had a lot of Wikipedia experience so can also see benefits the other way. I find the search function with MediaWiki nearly impossible so wonder if link language variations are any help. I'm not asking you to rock the boat, but this is a real open issue, WikiIndex:Naming conventions. See you there? TedErnst | talk 01:21, 2 Mar 2006 (EST)
welcome template[edit]

hey[edit]
Hi Robin, would you be interested in having a phone conversation on Mondays - 10:15pm EST? Best, MarkDilley
- (Robin tried to find out exactly what that meant. For what may be Robin's first memorable international phone call, some planning may be needed, including a definite idea of what time it's to happen. With times in "EDT" appearing here, there seems to be too much confusion at present. Robin Patterson 22:16, 1 June 2006 (EDT))
- According to US Time I think EST is -4 UTC. I think. We use skype if you have it, on the other hand, I think we can call out. And yes Robin, you are a wiki. ;-) Best, MarkDilley
Nice to see you Robin! ~~ MarkDilley
