I actually have no idea.  Mediawiki made some archtechtural decisions based on Wikipedia and so the pagecounts we have are standardized if they're mediawiki, but hit or miss otherwise.  I'd recommend you make whatever decisions seem reasonable and maybe document your choices in [[WikiProject:By Size]].  [[User:Peu|Wolf]] is the person most into size stuff thusfar.
