Others delete material that disagrees with their viewpoint and treat edits against their viewpoint as vandalism.

Editors will frequently be comfortable with a wiki where they agree with the prevailing sentiment. Editors who want to argue and disagree with the established viewpoint of a wiki risk their work being deleted and can risk being banned.
