Description
The Left 4 Dead Wiki is a wiki dedicated to the first-person shooter Left 4 Dead, created by Valve Corporation, which was released on November 18, 2008 for the PC and Xbox 360. Left 4 Dead takes place in several places surrounding Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. A mutated strain of the rabies virus has struck humanity, creating a "zombie apocalypse"—though the Infected are not actually dead. There are six variants of the Infected, with the Common Infected being the least mutated; Common Infected, the Hunter, the Smoker, the Boomer, the Witch, and the Tank. From the chaos, four Survivors band together in an attempt to escape the relentless Infection.
The wiki was founded on in the May of 2008 by ShadoW. Its ultimate goal is to be the most complete source of information about Left 4 Dead that anyone can edit.
Note: Left 4 Dead was rated M for Mature by the ESRB. Contents of the wiki may reflect this rating to a minimal degree.
