This is web based encyclopaedia of the Sikh way of life written collaboratively by many of its readers. Sikhism is the fifth-largest religion in the world and was founded on the teachings of Guru Nanak (1469 - 1539) and nine successive gurus 1539 to 1708) in fifteenth century Northern India.

It is estimated that about 23 million follow this religion.
