From Alaska, the OpenContent Curriculum wiki is a Bering Strait School District (BSSD) Open Content Initiative; an effort to develop a comprehensive standards-based high school curriculum, and a set of supporting content resources. This system utilizes wiki technology which allows everyone to read, edit, and participate directly in an innovative education community.

Open content is very similar to open source in software development. Everything that you find here is open to editing. We encourage users to rip, remix and create new resources that help them with their own educational programs. Open Content Textbooks are an intended resource, as is the New Teacher Orientation Handbook (pdf).

This is a site for you, both students and teachers, to freely develop and find curriculum that suites your needs. Teachers, administrators, students, parents and outside visitors from anywhere in the world are welcome to help edit and improve our site, or utilize the information here for non-commercial purposes as specified by the Creative Commons license at the bottom of each page.

Contained in these pages you will find both standards, and content.

This wiki became spammed, and was subsequently taken offline sometime mid-2018.
