AwkiAwkiA Tiny And Fast Wiki, is a small lightweight clone or fork of the original WikiWikiWeb. It was compiled from the Awk programming language by Oliver 'olt' Tonnhofer, and uses simple text files for data storage. Purposefully lightweight (approximately 300 lines of code), it was specifically designed to run fast on slow ancient hardware. Needing no database, it supports the same syntax as WikiWikiWeb, including CamelCase, and uses revision control system (RCS) to provide version control, edit histories, and diffs. All it needs to run is a basic http server with a Common Gateway Interface (CGI) interface along with an Awk interpreter.
