This is the boilerplate for template: Multilingual main; the infobox with the pink border. Use this template for generating an infobox in the 'mother' or 'parent' article or category; which covers (providing an overview of) a identical series (or collection) of separate wiki sites on the same subject matter which are available in differing wiki languages; such as Encyclopædiæ Pokémonis, JurisPedia, Metapedia, openSUSE, Touhou Wiki, Uncyclopedia, wikiHow, WikiMANNia, Wikipedia, Wiktionary (and other multilingual projects of separate wiki sites from the Wikimedia Foundation), Wikitravel, etc. The collective description for all of the separate wiki sites may be classified or named as a 'project' by their creator and / or owner; here on WikiIndex, will be categorised within 'Wiki Multilingual'.

This infobox template should also be used on an article or category page for a wiki site portal page; its URL typically (though not always) prefixed with 'www', such as www.Wikiversity.org (instead of its language identifier sub-domain, e.g. de.Wikiversity.org).

All external URLs in an infobox field must start with http:// or https://, whereas external links within the prose description may also use any existing interwiki link for external sites, along with conventional 'internal' wikilinks.

Select and highlight the text above in the blue/grey 'boilerplate', select copy the highlighted text (Ctrl-c, or -c on your keyboard), and then paste (Ctrl-c or -v) it at the top of the edit box of the relevant portal category, then amend the fields to the right of the = sign with the requested information on the specific wiki portal or series. Don't forget to click on the 'Show preview' button (alt-p (PC) or shift-esc-p (Mac) on your keyboard) to verify your edited detail is correct before saving (alt-s [PC] or shift-esc-s [Mac]).
