AdvocacyWiki was a project (started 17 February 2007) that aimed to provide fast accessible support for independent advocates across the United Kingdom.
Independent advocates focuses upon supporting vulnerable and marginalized people, to make their voices heard so that they can access better services.
Independent advocates work with:
- people with mental health problems
- people with learning disabilities
- children in care
- older people
- people with disabilities
- refugees and other BME groups
- and many others.
AdvocacyWiki aggregates resources to help advocates work more effectively. It works in partnership with other advocacy networks and support organizations.
