Description
Kubachi(Zerechgeran) is a Caucasian mountain village of goldsmiths and silversmiths, well known in Europe and the East for this craft and, earlier, for arms and armor since the eleventh century AD. With a population of 2500, it is in the highlands at 2000 meters. The art of goldsmiths and jewelers from the Kubachi has been recognized worldwide. The site enables to view the smallest detail of fanciful Kubachi ornaments and helps to understand the meaning, history and peculiarities of this sophisticated art.
