: You're talking about the image linking to the wiki url instead of to the wikiindex image page?  That doesn't seem to be within the control of the template, but rather a mediawiki feature, hard-coded under the hood somewhere.  John would be your man on this one, I'm afraid. page name redundancy and proposed solution

We have a redundancy, where the name of the WikiIndex page for each wiki, and that wikis name in the template, can be different. I propose the solution that's currently implimented at Template:Wiki Test where PAGENAME is used instead of wiki_name. I'm happy to make that change here, if there are no objections. Is there a potential downside I'm not seeing? Once we make the change to the template, we can then change the boilerplate. This will mean some unnecessary data for all wikis we have entered already, but future entries will be correct, and we can clean them out with a bot or over time, no rush as it doesn't affect anything. After talking with Ray, I went ahead and implimented this change. wiki_name no longer appears on the boilerplate and is no longer used to display the wikiname on any page using the wiki template. We can do the same for Wiki_list, or just let that template lie and pages be updated as they take the new template. TedErnst | talk 01:52, 4 Mar 2006 (EST)
