This user language template renders the appropriate page display in the 'mother' language categories of Category:Wiki People by Language. This template has either two or three input requirements (the third being optional).

  • 1st — the language abbreviation, see Template:Language
  • 2nd — translation of "These users speak (language)"; no if English
  • 3rd — if there is a Wikipedia article on the language, write the article's name if it doesn't end with "language".
Usage

{{LanguageCategory|code|native language translation}}

  • two-input one-language output example: {{LanguageCategory|es|no}}
which displays at the top of the page:
The people in this category listed below speak Spanish.
  • two-input two-language output example: {{LanguageCategory|sv|Dessa användare pratar '''svenska'''.}}
which displays at the top of the page:
Dessa användare pratar svenska.
The people in this category listed below speak Swedish.
