Request for two new fields

Can we include two new fields to include in this template?:

  1. Cost - with variable answers of either 'Free' or 'For a fee' (or something similar for the latter)
  2. Licence - same as the {{Wiki}} template, but for the licence under which the wiki engine software is released (if any).

RecentChanges vs Changes / Timeline / Roadmap

Sean, you say this template is specifically for software - 'RecentChanges' isn't normal terminology for software - changelog or roadmap is - first, we aren't talking about normal terminology for software, we are talking about wiki software. Secondly, I just sampled ten in the category and most of them were RecentChanges - one was a timeline, one was a text file and 3 were unavailable. I think for consistency, in this wiki about wiki, wiki people and wiki ideas ... we stick with wiki terminology. ~~ MarkDilley

I suggested it. See User talk:Hoof Hearted#Recent changes of Wiki Engines. --YiFei | talk 18:17, 30 April 2013 (PDT)
OK, I only suggested 'changes' purely as a way to differentiate from RecentChanges on wikis. The hidden text in the boilerplate indicates that we can use changelog, roadmap and the likes. I know you are very keen on preserving the history of wikis (and I've no intention of trying to change the main wiki template - that is one battle I'd loose at the first draw!). I just think we need to show difference between wiki sites - ie, Template:Wiki, and wiki software, ie, Template:Wiki Engine. My other reason for changing this template is to anticpate using a new set of structured data on the Wiki Engine software. Finally, Mark, your sampling is a little premature - this particular change has only been up-and-running for a day or two! :ppp Best :))) Sean, aka Hoof HeartedAdmintalk2HH 08:20, 1 May 2013 (PDT)
YiFei, thanks for the thoughts. I am fine with change, but when I sample, not prematurely as you suggest, many of the pages were RecentChanges... how can we accommodate that as well as changelog / others? Can we use a variable somehow? I am loving the idea of introducing new things here!! LOVE IT! :-) Best, MarkDilley
