FilmWiki heeft als doel vanuit een neutraal standpunt een betrouwbare online encyclopedie te creëren van alle Nederlandse film en televisie projecten en de acteurs die er in spelen. Anders dan andere Wiki's wordt FilmWiki gecontroleerd en gefactcheckt door een eindredactie en experts op het gebied van film, televisie en acteurs. Aangewezen experts zijn gescreend op hun kennis en achtergrond voor dat zij de mogelijkheid hebben artikelen te kunnen wijzigen. Dit bevordert de betrouwbaarheid van de gepresenteerde informatie. Wij streven er naar om onze artikelen neutraal en betrouwbaar te schrijven.
