Bristol Wireless is a co-operative set up to develop a free-to-access broadband intranet using wireless radio in the historic English city of Bristol in the United Kingdom (UK); with the emphasis on supplying ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) that are relevant, permanent, and affordable to communities that find themselves on the wrong side of the digital divide.
When originally created, the wiki site for Bristol Wireless released its content under the GNU General Public License (GNU GPL, or merely just GPL), however, the wiki subsequently changed its licence, it now uses the much more common Creative Commons Attribution Share-Alike 3.0 licence (CC-BY-SA 3.0).
