Wikisource – The Free Library — is a collection of wiki sites, known as a linguistic edition 'project' of the Wikimedia Foundation (WMF), for primary- and secondary-source texts, in many different languages. Launched in 2003 as a library of free texts called 'Project Sourceberg', by 2005 it branched out into separate wiki sites for each of its various language versions. Wikisource now includes house books, essays, poems, novels, historical documents, letters, speeches, and other documents; as long as they are able be made available under the Creative Commons Attribution Share Alike (CC-BY-SA) open content license.

As of September 2021, Wikimedia Wikidata indicates that there are 75 Wikisource language editions, including the Multilingual Portal. Wikimedia Meta-Wiki indicates that there are 63 Wikisources of different languages, and lists them by size.
