CamelCase is the term identifying the ability to link to another page on a wiki by removing the space between two capitalized letters. A revolutionary way of thinking of technology - "What is the simplest thing we can do to make this work?" - to paraphrase WardCunningham. MediaWiki was developed from UseModWiki and because it was developed for and encyclopedia, which, obvioulsy has little use for CamelCase - so it was phased out.

links to discuss and think about the importance of LinkLanguage using CamelCase as a standard clue of what the tool is.
