ROS (Robot Operating System) provides libraries and tools to help software developers create robot applications. It provides hardware abstraction, device drivers, libraries, visualizers, message-passing, package management, and more. ROS software is licensed under an open source, BSD license.

The ROS Wiki is written primarily in English; some pages are also available in German, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish and Chinese. Except where otherwise noted, the ROS wiki is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 (CC-BY 3.0).
