The service started out free, but currently requires a minimum charge of $5.00 per month to have a hosted wiki. Unlike many hosting providers, MyWikis does not have global staff groups, meaning that individual wiki founders are in complete control of their own wikis. Also, the service will give you whatever MediaWiki extensions you want. The main downsides are the startup cost, and the fact the wikis must be requested, they are not created automatically. The MyWikis service will also not host inappropriate material, such as pornographic content.
