Applied Stacks is a public repository, backed by a structured wiki, that documents the tools and other components people use to build websites. On the wiki, you can find what's behind specific sites, or you can explore sites that use a certain component.
One of the goals of the project is to help raise the visibility of packages that are less well known in the broader development community. In doing so, it is hoped that developers will be connected to the tools and components that really do best fit their specific needs and preferences.
Content is community built and maintained and is available under the terms of the GFDL and the Creative Common Share Alike License.
Right now, I'm in the process of trying to build up an initial base of contributers. If you're a web developer or just someone who has put together a website/webapp or two, please, drop by and share what sorts of frameworks and tools you used to build your sites.
If you're feeling ambitious and want to get involved even more, please contact me directly (email: [email protected]).
