SpongeBob Fanon Wiki

SpongeBob Fanon Wiki is a wiki that was split into three different hosts following a global block placed on the account of the site's leader, Ponyo Fan, who, along with five other users, had pranked the wiki into thinking it closed down.

The wiki was then forked to Referata, although a majority of the userbase either stayed on Wikia or left the site altogether.

Controversy

As can be expected from a wiki about cartoon fanfiction, SpongeBob Fanon Wiki is known particularly for its controversy.

• On IRC, supergeeky1 jokingly stated that the wiki might as well change its name to "Spongebook", referring to how the users tend to spend more time socializing than actually editing.
• Again on IRC, Xd1358 said that the wiki was always dead and asked "who the fuck would read SpongeBob Fanon"
