From my point of view, you did not [http://wikiindex.org/index.php?title=WikiIndex%3AErstellen_von_neuen_Artikelseiten&action=historysubmit&diff=183387&oldid=183384 move the title] to better German, as you stated, but somewhat closer to Amtssprache, Behördendeutsch or [http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Verwaltungssprache something similar]. I think the same could be also have happened French version of this improvement. I, personally, moved my language towards a more active one, that can be read more easy for "ordinary people".
