Backlink is the generic term for wiki syntax command used to describe 'incoming' links to an article; as in: what other articles are linking to this particular page I'm now reading?.
Many, though not all wiki engines support backlinks; and specifically on wiki powered by the now-ubiquitous MediaWiki software, it is more commonly known as 'what links here'. It is usually found in the toolbox section of the sidebar, and can also be accessed by using keyboard-direct command of alt-j (or shift-esc-j on an Apple Mac), or by a manual wikilink using Special:WhatLinksHere (Special:WhatLinksHere/PageName).
