Socialtext, Inc. – where work gets done – from Palo Alto, State of California (CA), USA, is the first wiki company, founded 2002. It offers a commercial wiki software ('wiki engine') for business, providing an 'enterprise' intranet wiki solution. The homepage is https://www.Socialtext.com.

Socialtext is available as a free 30 day trial. After that you pay. How much, is not clear,[2] but it's far from free (ie, 'enterprise' prices). They also provide hosted wiki service at https://www.Socialtext.net which costs $495 for one year for five users.

Some of the 'Socialtext Workspace' product is based on code from the Kwiki wiki engine.
