"for those who care about capitalist values"?[edit]

What's with the "for those who care about capitalist values" tagline? Firstly Anarchopedia is anticapitalist -- anarchism is anticapitalist by definition -- and I didn't find such a motto anywhere on the site. Is this an intricate troll? Please fix :-) --Drummyfish (talk) 17:47, 22 July 2024 (UTC)

Admin who uploaded the picture locked the article so it can't be removed and pretends to not see this? :D loloolool, maybe I get b&? --Drummyfish (talk) 18:55, 23 July 2024 (UTC)
Hello and welcome to WikiIndex. If you scroll down to the footer of http://eng.anarchopedia.org/Main_Page - and indeed every page, you will see the file placeholder (sadly a 'red link' at the moment) alongside the MediaWiki 'powered by' mini-banner. It clearly states "the terms "For those who care about capitalist values"". I think the actual file on Anarchopedia was lost during a server crash in late 2015. This archive of the English main page from September 2015 clearly shows the picture bottom left. I trust you are satisfied with my explanation. Your friendly-but-sometimes-forgetful-troll-admin! :P Sean P, aka Hoof HeartedAdmin / 'Crat / Stafftalk2HH 23:45, 23 July 2024 (UTC)
Hello, thank you for your reply and please let me apologize for my tone, I got a bit stressed ^_^ You are correct, the banner can be seen on the Internet archive version, however now I think I understand it: the banner is in a place where a license icon usually is, it is there saying: "page about licensing, for those who care about capitalist values" (because many anarchists simply don't care about capitalist values and things such as licensing). They license per-page so there isn't a one standard license whose image would otherwise be in this place. Anarchopedia itself is indeed anticapitalist (explicitly stated e.g. at [1]), i.e. the phrase is not the wiki's motto or anything like that, but I can see how it was confused for it. Again I am sorry, I took this for genuine troll but it was just an innocent misunderstanding. Could you please fix this page now? Thank you very much :) --Drummyfish (talk) 19:04, 24 July 2024 (UTC)
