The PatchPedia was an unofficial British military wiki – a community driven resource to help service families move and settle in to new areas when posted. The PatchPedia can be edited by all (after creating an account and logging-in), and uses the same system as Wikipedia to provide an up to date and detailed source of information. To contribute, just register, edit an existing article or write a completely new one.

The wiki aims to include articles on all 'base areas' where the British military are stationed; not only in the UK, but also overseas postings, including Germany, Cyprus and Canada.[1]

The PatchPedia is an integral part of the Rear Party website and the Olive Net military website group, which includes the Army Rumour Service (ARRSE) and Navy Net (Rum Ration) websites.
