Regarding the topic: It may be self understood for You, but it seems to be about some UNIX or Linux. Please select appropriate categories like Operating system, Software, or the like. A highly specific topic (and special characters ;-) does not help. It must be based on a more general topic. Specifics come in the descriptive text.

We can talk here. ChrisGarrod (talk) 21:56, 2 November 2012 (PDT)

Hi Chris! Saw your name and thought to myself, this sounds familiar - then I checked and you added a wiki in 2006! Rockin! Glad to have you stop by again, feels good that it remained in your head for so long! Best, MarkDilley

and you are from the WikiWikiWeb = sweet!! :-)

Thanks Mark. I had forgotten about this wiki. Luckily my computer remembered, and I'm in again. I've been on the WikiWikiWeb since early in 2000. I had my own wiki for awhile in the mid 200x years, but haven't put it back online.

New wikis

Hi Chris, I noticed your comment when you created Wireshark :)

There are two main ways of adding a new wiki here. On our left sidebar, if you click on 'Add a Wiki', it should open a page called WikiIndex:Add a Wiki, and that should hopefully provide a walk-through on how to add a new wiki here.

Alternatively, if you type the name of the wiki in our search box (usually further down our left sidebar), if it doesn't already exist, you should be prompted to create the page. If you are used to MediaWiki, you can copy and paste the 'boilerplate' from Template:Wiki to help add all (or any of) the required detail.

Don't worry if you think you might get anything wrong though, we are here to help out, best regards :) Sean, aka Hoof HeartedAdmintalk2HH 04:07, 9 April 2013 (PDT)

Organic Design (kaizenexpert)

When You find a wiki domain parked, please also set Status: to Dead.

Now regarding You backup-question: You can look up the URL of th wiki at Archive.org

  • If You find anything there, please replace the original URL in the wiki entry with any archive URL You see fitting.
  • Change Status: to Archived.

PC-BSD Wiki

Yes the template is not taken over completely from WikiIndex:Add_a_Wiki process in so far one has not filled all fields. I see this also as a thing to be improved. You will find all possible fields here: Template:Wiki boilerplate.
