'''ErfurtWiki''' is a small yet highly customisable {{tag|Wiki Engine|wiki engine}}, compiled in {{tag|PHP}}.  It is free {{tag|open source}} software, and is an implementation of the [[:Category:WikiWikiWeb|WikiWikiWeb]] hypertext system.  It allows everybody who comes along to edit and create new pages very easily.  It is available four languages: {{tag|Wiki German|German}}, {{tag|Wiki English|English}}, {{tag|Wiki Spanish|Spanish}}, and {{tag|Wiki Dutch|Dutch}}.

Although the software has not seen any updating since June 2005, it is still available for download from the SourceForge website.  Whilst this lack of development may loose favour by some, it is nonetheless a very valuable wiki engine, for a number of important, and unique reasons.  One of those is that it can be run on ''any'' [[:Category:Operating system|operating system]] with PHP support, including {{tag|Android}}, and can be easily integrated into any existing website.  ErfurtWiki supports virtually all forms of [[:Category:Wiki syntax|wiki syntax]], including unlimited page revision histories.  [[Freelinks]], [[backlink]]s and [[CamelCase]] linking is provided as standard, with {{tag|GreatFeature|features}} such as [[interwiki]], [[sisterwiki]], image links and page [[redirect]]s supported by an extensive range of over 200 plugin extensions.
