This is just a first exploration, I'm a real newbie on this question. But my suggestion would be to invite you to talk/ask in the #microformat channel on freenodes. The idea could be to talk on the way to automatically transform any [[StructuredData]] typed by the user in your forms to standards Microformats. Let's say I'm still enthusiast to continue this exploration.
