			: The MediaWiki quarterly update policy is a bit too frequent so we try to update every 6 months or so. The 1.8.x version was just released at the beginning of October and we wait till most of the bugs in a release are fixed (probably about 1.8.5, they are on 1.8.2 already) before we start to plan an upgrade.
