Wikimpress ist ein Wiki, das mit dynamischen Inhalten aus dem World Wide Web, insbesondere aus "social media", wie Twitter erweitert werden kann. Artikel eines "klassischen" Wikis (wie z.B. Wikipedia) enthalten statische Informationen, zu deren Aktualisierung ein Benutzer eine manuelle Änderung durchführen muss. Wikimpress aktualisiert fortlaufend alle Artikel, die auf dynamische Informationen verweisen. Dabei verhält es sich ähnlich wie eine Suchmaschine. Form und Inhalt der dynamischen Informationen können durch den Autor eines Wikimpress-Artikels vorgegeben werden.
