Description
The Hitchwiki is a wiki about hitchhiking. It is collecting general information about what to pack and when to go, what to eat and how to stay safe, knowledge about hitchhiking possibilities in different countries and information about good spots to get rides.
Originally this wiki was at hitchhikingguide.org as Hitchhiker's Guide to Hitchhiking. Because it was spammed all the time there, with no maintainer in sight, it was relaunched on Wikia as Hitchhiking Wiki on hitchhiking.wikia.com. Now it has its own domain and its current name. Since 2007 there is also a German, a French and a Spanish version available and a Fininsh, as Portguese and a Russian one since 2008.
