Template:Wiki Engine JAMWiki is a Java-based wiki engine, and uses the same syntax and many of the features of the popular MediaWiki engine (although it should be noted it is not the same as MediaWiki, which is written in PHP). The software, first available in 2006, [1] is released for free (FOSS) under the GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL). The entry here on WikiIndex for the JAMWiki help wiki is JAMWiki.
