Description[edit]

The purpose of this WalMart Wiki is to to create a place where ordinary people can contribute to a collection of information about the policies and practices of one of the largest private employers in the world. WalMart currently employs over one million people in the United States alone. There are over three thousand WalMart stores in this country and a new one is built roughly every twenty-six hours.

It is our job, as citizens, to be aware of huge corporations like WalMart, to understand the policies and practices that allow corporations to thrive and grow at the expense of the working class. This wiki is to be a place for people to post their experiences with and information about WalMart, where average citizens can help educate each other on how these companies affect our economy and in turn, our lives.

Your input to this wiki is critical to its ongoing success; by adding what you know (or the research you do), you can add to the information here, improve on its structure, and fix mistakes you find along the way. This is a collaborative effort, one that's only as good as the contributions made by visitors like you. Consider adding a few pieces of information to help make this a better resource!
