Real lives is a term occasionally used in the wikisphere by overworked wiki editors. When used, its context is usually intended as a plea for leniency, especially when the said editor has an internal conflict regarding the balance between his on-wiki editing workload, against a pressing need to apportion more time to domestic duties at home, or worse, neglecting their paid employment duties. In essence, using the term 'real lives' could be seen as a polite precursor ahead of telling another overbearing wiki editor to 'back off'!
