All article pages describing wikis belong in this 'parent' category. If you add a new wiki using the provided infobox template or form, its article page will automatically appear in this category. If you do not have time to add all fields of the boilerplate (and therefore the full detail of the wiki), just paste the new wiki main page or primary URL into a new article page, and type {{Add}}, and after saving new page, it too will also show up here, and will be available for someone else to add the full boilerplate data fields structure and full target wiki detail on it, listed in an additional category at category:Wikis to add. Please also be aware that category:WikiLogo, along with its specific sub-categories is also available to help you avoid duplication when adding a (new) wiki to this index.

See also Special:AllPages, which will list (one group at a time) all pages of the WikiIndex wiki, including 'meta' pages which specifically describe the function and operation of this WikiIndex wiki.

Along the default wiki template, this category also uses template:MultilingualMain, which is for portal articles. Furthermore, this category is the parent category for our semantic data; it uses the filters – status, wiki language, edit mode, wiki engine, wiki license, and main topic.
