Description

The Chess Programming Wiki (CPW) describes the art of programming computers to play chess. It has information about programmers and researchers and chess engines and protocols between back-end chess engines and front-end chess GUIs.

CPW was founded by Mark Lefler on October 26, 2007, first hosted on Wikispaces. Due to that site closure, it moved to a new host at www.chessprogramming.org.[1]

Apparently the only way to edit the CPW is to first ask for an account on the TalkChess forum[2]

Erik Satie, Gerd Isenberg, and Mark Lefler are the current wiki administrators (MediaWiki "bureaucrat").

If a tagable category name does not appear in the description prose text, use and amend the etc at the BOTTOM of the page edit box to manually add categories. Please list all skin categories after additional subject categories (found at '/Special:Version'). Finally, add the year of founding, like so... -->
